Terms of Use
This Terms of Use document is the End User License Agreement ("EULA") for the Muza mobile applications on iOS and Android. It supplements (and does not replace) the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy. By downloading, installing, or using the Muza mobile applications, you agree to this EULA.
1. Scope
This EULA applies to the Muza mobile application as distributed through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or directly by Muza (each, the "Application"). It governs the license granted to you, the permissions the Application requests, the limits of our liability, and your rights as an end user.
2. License grant
Subject to your compliance with this EULA, the Terms and Conditions, and the rules of the App Store from which you obtained the Application, Muza grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited license to install and use the Application on any device that you own or control. This license is for your personal, professional use in connection with the Service. It does not grant you any ownership rights.
3. Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy the Application or any portion of it, except as expressly permitted by the App Store rules.
- Decompile, reverse-engineer, disassemble, attempt to derive the source code of, or modify the Application, except where applicable law expressly permits.
- Distribute, sublicense, lease, lend, sell, resell, or rent the Application.
- Use the Application to build a competing product, scrape data from the Service, or train any machine-learning model on Muza data.
- Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notice, trademark, or watermark.
- Circumvent any security control, paywall, rate limit, or feature gate.
4. Device permissions
The Application asks for certain device permissions only when needed for the feature you are using. We never use a permission for anything other than the stated purpose, and you can revoke any permission at any time in your phone's system settings.
- Camera — to capture profile photos, portfolio photos, and chat attachments.
- Photo Library — to select existing photos or videos for your profile, portfolio, or chat.
- Microphone — to record voice messages in chat (only while you hold the voice button).
- Location (when in use) — to show castings near you, set your profile city, or share a location pin in chat.
- Notifications — to deliver push notifications about messages, applications, bookings, and reviews.
- Network access — to communicate with the Muza backend.
We do not request access to your contacts, calendar, health data, motion data, advertising identifier, Bluetooth, or any other system service.
5. Account, content, and conduct
Your use of the Application is also governed by the Terms and Conditions, which set out the rules for accounts, User Content, bookings, reviews, verification, prohibited conduct, and termination. In case of any conflict between this EULA and the Terms and Conditions, the document more protective of you (the User) applies to the extent of the conflict.
6. Updates
Muza may release updates that fix bugs, improve performance, add features, or address security issues. Updates may be downloaded automatically by your operating system or App Store. Continued use of the Application after an update constitutes acceptance of the update. We may also discontinue support for older versions of the Application or older operating systems with reasonable notice.
7. Third-party services
The Application uses several third-party services to function. Where you interact with these services through the Application, their terms also apply:
- Apple Push Notification Service (APNS) — for iOS notifications.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — for Android notifications.
- Supabase — for backend infrastructure and authentication.
- Sign in with Apple / Sign in with Google — for OAuth authentication.
See the Privacy Policy for the data sharing arrangements with these providers.
8. Apple App Store — additional terms
If you obtained the Application from the Apple App Store, the following also applies. These additional terms are required by Apple.
- This EULA is between you and Muza only, and not with Apple. Muza, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Application and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services for the Application.
- In the event of any failure of the Application to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the Application (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever.
- Muza, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the Application or your possession or use of it, including (a) product-liability claims, (b) any claim that the Application fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and (c) claims arising under consumer-protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
- In the event of any third-party claim that the Application or your possession and use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Muza, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.
- You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country that is subject to a US Government embargo, or that has been designated by the US Government as a "terrorist-supporting" country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA. Upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce this EULA against you as a third-party beneficiary.
9. Google Play — additional terms
If you obtained the Application from Google Play, your use of the Application is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Muza, not Google, is responsible for the Application and any claims arising from it.
10. Export controls
You may not use or export the Application in violation of EU, Polish, or US export laws and regulations.
11. No warranties
The Application is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, except those that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law. We do not warrant that the Application will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure against unauthorized access, or compatible with any specific device or OS version.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Muza's liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Application is limited as described in Section 14 of the Terms and Conditions. Nothing in this EULA excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
13. Termination
This EULA is effective until terminated. You may terminate it at any time by uninstalling the Application and deleting your Muza account. Muza may terminate this EULA if you breach it, and certain provisions (Sections 2–4 restrictions, 11–12 warranty and liability, 14 governing law) survive termination.
14. Governing law
This EULA is governed by the laws of the Republic of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the competent courts of Warsaw, Poland, except where mandatory consumer-protection law allows you to bring the dispute in the courts of your country of residence.
